Other Services

Parents/guardians who suspect that their son or daughter may be using drugs can call the Youth Services Bureau and schedule an appointment to bring him/her in for a drug test. The Bureau uses a one-step drug screen card which is dipped into an individual’s urine to detect the following five substances:
  1. Methamphetamines (Krystal Meth, Speed, Adderall, Dexedrine)
  2. Benzodiazepines (Valium, Xanax, Halcion, Ativan, Roofies, Klonopin)
  3. Cocaine (Also called: Coke, Flake, Snow, Crack, Coca)
  4. Opiates (Codeine, Darvocet, Heroin, Hydrocodone, Lorcet, Lortab, Methadone, OxyContin, Percocet, Percodan, Vicodin)
  5. THC (Marijuana, Hash)
The information on the substances above is not exhaustive and is intended to assist parents, not to serve as a primary resource. If someone is unsure of where to go for more complete information, we would be glad to point them in the right direction (contact us). This service is offered at no cost to Belknap County residents.
