C.H.I.N.S. Diversion (Upswing)

Program Description

Upswing is a program designed to assist youth ages 6-17 and their families in resolving problems which have gone beyond the families’ capabilities of managing alone.

Specifically, Upswing is an intervention program for youth who are in danger of a C.H.I.N.S. Petition. Upswing works with the youth and his/her family to identify their strengths and needs which are used in the development of a case plan.

The case manager assists families with the identification and accessing of community resources that will meet the needs that cannot be met through the Upswing program itself. Upswing aims to educate and empower families so that they are better equipped to help themselves.
